TH Wildau is ranked 2,504th of all universities in the world in the UniRank 2024.Within Germany, TH Wildau achieved 153rd place.

The Wildau Foundation Year prepares international students for their future studies at TH Wildau and cooperating universities. The programme offers language and subject related preparation and in addition to that it supports social integration. It is designed for students that hold a higher secondary school certificate and choose Germany as their favorite study destination.

The Wildau Foundation Year prepares students to begin their Bachelor studies in Germany at TH Wildau. Once the foundation year is finished, students can expect to be prepared for diverse career paths including engineering, IT, business, healthcare, renewable energy and more.

The Private Studienkolleg course will cover a variety of required learning topics including:

• Mathematics
• Basics of Economics
• German for technics
• Computer Science
• Basics of Physics and Technics
• German for Economics

The 1-year program includes two semesters, starting in September.
The 1,5 year program includes three semesters, starting in March.

You may choose between two different programs:
The 1-year program is designed for students with a B1 level of German.
The 1,5-year program is designed for students with no German language competence.

For the September Intake:

• Higher secondary school certificate
• Language certificate for German and English B1

For the March Intake:

• Higher Secondary School Certificate
• English B2

For the 1-year programme, a B1 level of German is required.
There is no German language requirement for the 1,5 year programme.

Because this program is a foundation year, classes will be in English and students will be required to learn German before continuing on to their programs.

The minimum time period is usually between 2-4 weeks.

The 1-year program fee is 10,200 EUR.
The 1,5-year programme fee is 11,400 EUR.

There is a three installment plan that includes the blocked account costs. The first payment is due before the final admission and visa application, the second is due by November 30 of the application year, and the third payment is due February 28 of the following year.

There are a variety of facilities offered on campus for students including a student library, dining hall, and outdoor recreational areas.

In Germany student residences are not administered by the universities themselves, but by separate student services’ organizations called Studentenwerk or Studierendenwerk. Rooms in student dorms for TH Wildau are allocated by the Studentenwerk Potsdam. https://www.studentenwerk-potsdam.de/en/

In Germany there are only enough affordable rooms in student accommodation for about 10% of all students. Therefore it is very important that you apply for a place as early as possible. By Train: The university is conveniently located near Wildau railway station (Bahnhof Wildau). You can take a train to Wildau from Berlin Hauptbahnhof (Berlin Central Station) or Berlin-Schönefeld Airport. From the Wildau station, it's a short walk or a quick bus ride to the university campus.

By Bus: There are several bus routes that connect different parts of Wildau, including stops near the university campus. You can check the local bus schedule and routes to find the most convenient option.
